The Pursuit of Happyness

Although parts of this movie where very unlikely (uneducated man becoming stock broker) and idiotic (loss of shoe; sleeping in the bathroom) this particular movie had some scenes that where very touching and somehow made me think more about my own family's past experiences. The lead role was played by Will Smith, with his real-life son playing the son in the movie, and he captured the role very well. For some reason, though, the movie made it seem like every impoverished person in America is trying their best to rise to the top and be somebody worthwhile, while in reality most live on welfare - paid by good citizens - and live a life of drugs, prostitution, and illegal activity. I enjoyed the movie overall, but afterward I realized what a wrong idea this was giving to it's viewers.
